Arabesque is something I started a few days ago in an attempt to break myself of my fear of failure. Every time I try to draw a comic I care about, I freeze up and accomplish nothing. I’ve decided to take a step back and get familiar with the basics of sequential art. Very little of this comic has been planned in advance. In fact, I’m trying very hard to think of only one page at a time in order to prevent myself from feeling overwhelmed. I’m also doing my best not to be an unforgiving perfectionist when it comes to the art aspect of things in the hopes that I will make some sort of progress.

The reason why I finally did cave and posted this was because I figured it might turn out to be an interesting experiment. I’m not restricting myself to any form of media or narrative style, so the look and feel of each page will fluctuate accordingly. Even if it looks horrible and the plot turns out to be some corny manga-wannabe, I think the concept itself is a little exciting.
