I want a category meant specifically for self portraits. I'm not satisfied with my current options.
I just needed to put my brush to the page. I'm not in a slump exactly, but I'm feeling pretty crappy about myself lately. I've got this one illustration I'm deterrmined to finish, but I'm so scared of failing, I've avoided it entirely for four days now. That's what this "comic" is about. Brush pens help me loosen up, I guess because I can get away with being a sloppy little twit.
In case you weren't paying attention: brush pen, india ink, and deep-fried emo angst. I'm lovin' it.

I love the ink-work, in the way all the seeming randomness collides into a clearer image...mmmm, tastes like MSG. The fingers in the second panel remind me of Roald Dahl books X3 The final figure is especially lovely, particularly the spacing of the legs.
