I've been sort of between misery and apathy regarding my school work this semester, but at this moment - this brief moment in time - I'm really happy to be studying animation. Two nights ago I was ready to hang myself in the bathroom, I was so tired of working, but tonight I feel good. I obviously don't know the industry side of things, but as a student, it's a really great community to be a part of. So what if my sleep schedule is permanently fucked, it's better than accounting or some equally unfulfilling occupation. That's one thing I never want in life, to work with money. I don't mind living within my means.
To all those who haven't seen it, I recommend Kirikou and the Sorceress. I wish America would produce more meaningful cartoons like this. We should stop hating the French and work together to bring back traditional animation!
Also, please name three things that would be interesting to either animate or animate with. Try to think outside the box with this one.

First: is anyone else disappointed by Scott Pilgrim Volume 4? I was so excited when I bought it, now I'm just kind of sad.
In other news, thesis has a temporary hold on my life. Keep pretending I don't exist, and I'll come back somewhere around the end of April.

School's out.
I'm officially a thesis student. I thought this day would never come, and now the that it's here, the fear and misery is beginning to set in. Anybody have any funny one-liners that could inspire a two-minute film?

Ten Art Facts about me. I was tagged by ~weja (https://www.deviantart.com/weja)
1) I don't like sketchbooks. People always like to snatch them out of your hands, flip through them and pass judgement. Because I know everything I do in a sketchbook will be seen, I get really tense and I rarely draw well. Thus I use sketchbooks as a mini portfolio, only drawing in them when I'm having a really good day art-wise
2) This relates to the first fact, but I do most of my drawing on scrap paper. I will honestly draw on just about anything, I horde discarded paper. I recycle all the drawn on scr

..............animation might be the most tedious thing I have ever done. I partcially animated the flower petal paintings, and it was just...... so much to do. I really didn't like the process but I liked the end result. I guess I'm not an animator. But then again, it MIGHT have been more pleasant if I was drawing it all out, not cutting, pasting, fusing them together, layers upon layers moving each petal one by one...
Never heard of those animations... (Kirikou, Sorcerss?) but yes, it is kind of sad.. Even Ghibli uses alot of computer animation now. It looks good, and it isn't like those 3D-ish quality that 'Steam Boy" has, but still. Then again, if it makes my life easier, I'll probably use it too.

3) Kineograph
